It’s no secret that they’ve looked hard at the A220 and just look at how Spirit is growing in so many SWA focus cities (BNA, BWI, LAS).

This has the earmarks of 2010 and the AirTran acquisition. Same story.....AT was getting to be a thorn in SWA’s side. Additionally AT has some valuable slots.

Not sure, but how big is NK’s LGA & DCA presence anyway?

So you're saying the spirt guys will get a much better contract after the announcement and then ***** about it as if it was all their hard work during integration talks. Lol

Sure Ace. Then all Spirit captain seats will be “captured” with the subsequent downgrades and 60% of their FOs will be stapled to enjoy a very long upgrade.

The new contract came at the end of almost six years of negotiations, informational picketing, etc., so let’s not make it seem like we had no part in it and it was just “handed” to us.

False. Once the virus is in all 50 states, the fear of it catching it "out there" or it showing up on your doorstep will be gone. It'll be omnipresent and you won't be able to run or hide from it. People will have no choice but to get back to living their lives.

Yeah, the damn the torpedoes and corona virus, full vacation ahead is a helluva supposition. I don't buy that at all.

Now, if it’s a limited deal then, yes, I believe that the travel industry will recover quite quickly. But people aren’t going to just deal with it if this thing gets really widespread.

Whether you can actually hide from it or not won’t matter. People will withdraw and limit their exposure via pressurized metal tubes whether it’s a rational response or not.

Ever ridden Amtrak? You can’t beat something with nothing. I would concede that the cruise line business will take a much larger and longer hit though.

I think people are quickly realizing it’s really not a big deal if your not old or compromised. Almost everyone I talk to jokes about it and says they aren’t worried even if they get sick.

im looking for last minute spring break cruise deals as we speak. I don’t put this anywhere near 2008 but the folks with cash in those few years after found smoking deals on many things I’m hoping to be ready next time.

Will I find a dirt cheap foreclosure or a newly repo’d boat for half price probably not unfortunately but a deal on a cruise for the family sounds great!
