I mean, you can’t leave the damn thing in the hotel room. Any maid coming to provide fresh towels might find it… |

Any maid coming to provide fresh towels might find it… I don't care what ridiculous hypothetical they ask you in the interview, I pity the fool who carries that federally issued weapon outside the cockpit and actually tries to use it. In California none the less, the most anti gun of the anti gun states! You won't be going to white collar prison, you'll be going to federal pound me in the ass prison. Especially with the anti gun socialists we have in charge right now. FAFO. |
Hey look forward to the bright side, only in Oakland can you attend your first Side Show, complete with gun blasts at the end and no law enforcement whatsoever!
Highly recommended for a nice family outing! |

That's true. You can take the damn thing with you, and keep it locked in the damn non descript bag.

That’s a different story… your results will likely vary. Wildly. |
Walk over to Lake Merritt and have a drink at Lake Chalet. The lake is almost a perfect 5k if you’re into running outside. Lots of gentrification going on. Lots of restaurants and bars on Broadway in the Lake Merritt district, if you don’t feel like walking the 15 minutes go down to Jack London square and sit outside and have a beer at one of the breweries or go have an overpriced hipster pizza at Forge and watch the boats come and go. If you’re into legit dive bars goto Merchant Saloon. Opens at 7 am. Uptown Oakland is also worth a look.
Or just stay in your room and complain about all the scary homeless people and how bad of a state California is. |

Go and do the Billie Bean Moneyball tour at the Oakland Coliseum. Buy a rap CD, an Oaklandish hat, and a churro on the way in from BART. Then take your seat and take in the sights and sounds from an old stadium not worth the dynamite it would take to level it to the ground. See the great new players and be thankful you got to see America's #1 farm team for the Yankees in real life. Go check out the urine troughs in the bathroom and watch your step! When it's over, make sure you exit the game quickly because it will be seagull poop city in a matter of 5 minutes. On the way out grab a shirt from the guy who sold you the hat that says "everything I known about stealing I learned in Oakland." You'll look like a true local at that point.
When you're back at work,, tell other guy all about your day and how with just a few more tax dollars,, they could really clean up that stadium ;) |
Glad to see it back. Have a number of long OAK coming up. Have a cousin in SF. BART right across the street, 3 stops. Perfect.
