Congratulations! I only did the MTC and I have almost the exact same time. My turbine time is all 121 time. I have almost 3 years at a regional. Zero fails, no criminal record and yes I wore a tie. Anyway, I got an email today that says they are hiring people with “Preferred Requirements” first and then contacting people who meet their minimum requirements. It’s an odd email that leaves me in an awkwardly hopeful spot. Did anyone else’s email literally say TBNT or reapply in 6 months? Because mine said neither.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but the fact you think you ~1950TT and only 10 months at a 121 carrier is overqualified for a major airline is laughable. Sure, others got hired with the about same time time as you, but maybe they have/displayed a better attitude?

Nobody said it was overqualified just qualified based on the others getting hired. Could’ve been any reasons? Only thing I’m doing is pointing out the fact they’re not as desperate as some seem to think and hopefully helping the next guys going to a MTC or interview.

The only ones desperately looking for pilots are the regionals. Sure the majors are all hiring a ton but it’s not like they have to fight for applications.

What’s laughable is that this craphole is considered a major airline. If we are hiring folks with less than 2k tt then what does that tell you? We are barely above a regional that’s selling $26 fares…
