Sadly FO stagnation is real and we can’t get off reserve to make that big money.

I make more money the months I bid rsv than the ones I bid a line.

How's that? Cause you drop your awarded trips?

Probably because he runs out the door when the phone rings for a premium assignment while on reserve.

Yeah, true... but lets not forget, MCO is adding 117 new pilots, ATL 137. So it will be spread out quite a bit. I think when the dust settles after this displacement FLL/MIA will end up being the most junior out of all bases. It will still be a long time to hold a line for anyone hired in 2022 and beyond. I also still think 1 more base will be announced this year, hopefully by end of 2nd quarter or early 3rd quarter.

Probably IAH, shrinking DFW by even more.

Sounds like more pressure on Ted and the crew, ok. I’m glad we don’t have a provision to allow management to unilaterally change a pay rate for 1 group and ignore the rest.

You were however, ok with a contract that changed the pay rate for years 2+ but ignored first year pay? Anyone that could have voted for the contract, was already on 2nd year pay. Therefore they ignored those behind them. Those who had a say, forgot about those who don’t.

Can’t drop on rsv. It’s much easier to say yes to a premium trip when you’ve been at home not getting used on rsv than when you just got home from a 4 day and are dead tired and/or have legality issues

Of course premium is not guaranteed and I can afford to live on 72hrs

Make sense. Are reserve FOs not flying much? Obviously it'll differ my base.

yeah, not sure where these Unicorns are coming from. FO reserves are being used every single day to the point where nobody wants to work on their precious few days off even for double pay.

Appreciate the info. Any kind of FMLA that is available in the contract? Thinking of family, short term leave for any number of different reasons.

I believe you have to be here a year in order to take FMLA.
