Who said this is a win for the pilots? Hmm? Nobody, exactly.
I said the union is holding the company to the CBA and making them backfill vacancies in which will end up costing the company more money for their ridiculous displacement game. No free rides for management

Overall I like it. I could have held upgrade on the bid that closed October 30 if I wanted it. At least a dozen people junior to me got it. I personally don't feel like commuting to reserve.

What's REALLY funny is, if they had just started growing the bases they needed LAST YEAR when they cancelled the original displacement, we'd be pretty darn close to having those bases staffed. Without a displacement. Life's about to get really crappy for a bunch of pilots being displaced away from their homes. Great way to retain pilots.
It still blows my mind why management waited so long to give pilots more money, in an attempt to at least stem some of the attrition. They really didn't even try. Even according to the union, it'll be until Feb or March till we see a new pay rate. Blows my mind how losing 30 mil in Q3 is better than giving pilots an even remotely decent pay raise when we can't even put aircraft utilization even close to where it needs to be.

I mean, I think NK management is literally trying to staff every base they can. Isn't that the entire point of the reduction bid? To force pilots into bases that they want to grow? At the end of the day, attrition is so absurd they have to.

Ted gets $15m with JBlu vs $12m with F9 and maybe a shot at CEO if he can fellate Franke better than Biffle. They aren't trying to sink anything, they are just incompetent.

The stalling is their nature. They don’t know any different. The fastest I’ve ever seen them move was the covid deals. I think they honestly had no idea what could happen and SWA signed a CovID deal right before us. If they hadnt I don’t think we would’ve gotten ours.
If they aren’t moving quick now the losses don’t concern them so they don’t concern me.

I thought the same thing. However, I don't think it'll work. NK has way too many airplanes coming, particularly 14 in Q4 alone, and over $1Bill in the bank, to even attempt to push JB away. Losing $30 Mil per Quarter is Venezuelan dollars in a bucket.
