why do the married pilots have better training and first year pay? This seems discriminatory against single people.

Im a first year FO and I can attest to the difficulty with training pay. Guys in my class literally had to save up at their other airlines to afford training pay here. And first year pay after 401k and taxes is coming out to 33k a year. Thats doable for some, but not with a family if you are sole supporter. Honestly its making me look elsewhere because I can't afford to support my family as an FO at a major airline.
That doesn't make it right, and it needs to be fixed, but 95% of the people you fly with have had to go through what you are going through.

I’m familiar with some of the methods used by the wealthy to shield their assets from divorce, but not considering that working stiffs could shield their working wages.
Trickle down thinking……way way down for Spirit.

My favorite are the jackass's who profess so much love for their spouses that they won't tell them they're cheating on them. I always compliment them on their solid ethics and strong character. My kind of role model.
