But then you can flex you “voted No” whenever your “cred” is questioned. You have forum internet history.
That being said, I can honestly say if Vegas had a line on the vote I wouldn’t put a single dollar on the outcome. Neither the pilots I’ve spoke with or the (maybe?) couple hundred who post on forums are enough of a sample size to determine what the silent majority will do. If the vote does go yes, nothing is to be gained by betting upset or haranguing those that did. We move on and focus on the next thing. If it goes no, we do the same. |
I'm a yes voter and might try to add some color. I have talked to about 20 pilots in the last week and only one is a no. Problem- the one vote who is a no gets very emotional about his stance and why I should be a no too. The other 19 are somewhere between unsure and a yes. Everyone is just trying to injest some information and make an informed decision.
Add a value to your healthcare (low) costs, to the red/green, drop to zero, seniority list training pilots, LTD plan, etc and how far off are you? Vote yes, take a pay bump, and get ready to negotiate again regardless of the color of your shirt or vote no. I don't care. |

Gotta remember that many people are by nature non-confrontational. There are good and bad things about this TA. If the person you’re flying with detects that you dislike the TA, many will focus on the bad parts, and Vice versa. It’s very hard to get an unbiased poll on this, other than the vote itself.
I’m still a no btw. For the “Street Cred” |

And once again we see the APC poll is usually pretty close..to the inverse of what the results are

Yes. This describes me exactly. It’s not perfect, not even good compared to AS, DL, B6. But, it’s still a good raise and it’s now, and we’ll probably be back at the table doing a JCBA in 2 years. It’s the safe move in my opinion. On the flip side, never that I’m aware of has any pilot group been given a 30% raise prior to the amendable date. We have so much leverage that seems like a once in a lifetime opportunity to say FUPM. Depending on who I’m talking to and their vibe, I can tap into either of these points. Both are valid. I’m still a no btw. For the “Street Cred”
