A pilot looking for a job would do a little more research on what they should expect to be paid before applying with a specific company.

If you chose not to apply at NK because you saw undesirable pay rates, on an unofficial site, NK probably didn’t want you anyways. Most places wouldn’t want that guy.

Takes someone in recruiting 20 minutes to do an update of a one page profile, most of that cut and paste. And the target demographic routinely reads APC, as demonstrated by all the naive questions asked.

Look at how Sh!tty our IT and websites are. You think Spirit cares about APC when we still have phones crashing, 12 different websites for everything, and glitchy application systems.

Are you really that clueless that you believe the moderators are going to modify the company profile on the PM message word of some anonymous poster? They have repeatedly said that they are unable to change the profile themselves, and that it must be done by the owners of the airline pilot central com site, and then only with verification by the company. Cause if you are that ignorant, You might want to stop embarrassing yourself with your postings.

Just reading you guys bickering, so I decided to look at Spirit’s APC page and they don’t even have our new IAH base showing!

they do seem kinda slow updating our page.

The Moderators are not the ones that make the updates. They get very frustrated at lack of updates, as well. Their only powers are to moderate the forums.

All I know is when I’ve submitted updates in the past, changes were made.

only 10 new hires out of the 28 they wanted showed up to class on Monday.

It’s not money for nothing…. The union gave up potential leverage if the merger fails. When I saw that in Frontier’s contract, I’m like, why the hell would someone agree to that?! And yet, here we are…. I pray the merger closes, and we can kick Ted and Bendo, and all the like to the curb! If it doesn’t, we’re ****ed on sooooo many levels….

On the one hand, he’s saying we can’t even fill classes with the new TA. On the other, he’s saying we gave away all leverage with new hires. It makes zero sense to me. I think we took free money when it was offered, with the added bonus of it not being enough to stem attrition or fill classes, maintaining leverage. Only time will tell!

I 100% agree with you and I voted yes.

I had to think about what the odds are the merger closes. I think it’s high. I had to think about what the odds were that spirit comes back to the table in short order and if they do what their offer would be. I was back and forth on that one. I had to think about what the odds are of the JetBlue TA passing with their legacy snap up language and what the odds are of that language carrying into a JCBA.

After all of that and playing the odds I felt a yes vote was the best choice. If the merger doesn’t close though yes we gave away a ton of leverage and are screwed in more ways than one. Spirit will no go it alone. Frontier will come back for their “second bite of the apple”. In that case I’m out of here.

If the merger (buy out really) doesn’t happen and we wind up being bought by Frontier we will be DAMN GLAD this passed. It’ll at least keep us going until we can all get out of here.

But like the altitude above you, the runway behind you, the fuel you’ve already burned, etc., debate or rancor is irrelevant because this is now a done deal. Carping at one another no matter which side you were on is pretty fruitless, stupid, and unprofessional. Time to get unified for a JCBA, whoever it is with, and/or work on your apps for someplace you’d rather be. That would at least be a productive use of your time.

So a persons "in the know" status is based on how much time they spend on APC.............got it!
