Interesting. Not sure I agree with everything, but mostly I think he is spot on.

He left out the biggest factor of Spirit's demise: Gross mismanagement by Christie.

It's amazing how many of these "analysts" dismiss mismanagement as a cause of problems and focus on outside factors.

For years Spirit ran an operation with the premise of PT Barnum in that "There's a sucker is born every minute", but once you reach a big enough size, you run low on suckers.

When your small and can move from market to market, you can outrun your bad reputation, but when you have to stand and compete, your performance over time makes a much more significant difference.

Question is do they acknowledge this and are they prepared to make drastic changes to fix it?
