Yea, Jersey is probably the most underrated state. It's a great place. There's only a couple other places in the US I'd want to live.

Some of the highest taxes in the nation, overpriced real estate, over-crowded, poor infrastructure, filthy beaches, terrible accents from the few that speak English. EWR is a concrete, industrial, wasteland hell. It looks like $h!+, smells like $h!+, and is basically just $h!+. But other than that...it's great!

doesn’t high prices and crowded mean people wanna live there? Minot North Dakota has neither . Nor ‘filthy beaches’ they even have non crazy accents. EWR is not Jersey. Same as Miami is not Florida. Thank god. Take your ivory tower and move west.. the bison state welcomes you.

Also another valid point. However the comment made was about someone moving to EWR as a result of this bid. I don't think it will happen. I'm not knocking anyone who lives here, anyone who wants to move to a hub city, just simply stating my opinion.

I've flown with a few FOs in FLL who are younger and either single or partnered without kids, and "home" for them is somewhere up in the NE.

Florida is nothing more than a placeholder for a lot of them before they get older and decide to start a family.

The first sentence of your post sounds like a perfect description of South Florida, just replace taxes with homeowners insurance.

Look around next time you are at 5 or 6k before they put you on the base for 22L. Northern NJ is absolutely beautiful outside of EWR

may the heavens have such envy of the state of New Jersey that glimmers in the rays shinning down from the oh mighty sun!

And the Angels chanted— LONG LIVE ‘JERSEY!

That's why Newark is called the mile high city. You have to be a mile high to find it attractive.
