The stupid “Go” fare a carry on bag is not allowed. So if someone tries to bored the plane and they have a carry on bag they don’t even have the option to buy the bag, they are flat out denied boarding?

Gotta love the arrogance of a pilot who thinks a middle seat that 2 people paid extra for belongs to them because they commute.

Instead of talking to an inflight supervisor, go to the next office down and talk to a chief pilot and tell them to stop taking Jumpseat’s out of brand new airplanes.

Tell me you didn't go to college without actually telling me you didn't go to college. Haha.

Might want to have someone spell check your application for your next job.

I hate to break it to you but APC is full of slang, grammar errors and misspellings.

This isnt a college essay I’m writing… I am an anonymous troll on an online forum (and who may or may not actually even be a pilot ) If you have a problem, call the grammar police.

Yesterday I went to the FLL crew room and spoke to an inflight supervisor. I told her my concerns with the blocked middle seats for commuting/nonrev. She gave me a look of "omg you're right and we didn't think of that". Like literally, they didn't think that part through. I warned her that the company could see a spike in UTC (unable to commute) calls if this happens. She thinks the middle seat block option will only be offered on select flights that are known for not being full.

She further said that the blocked seats would have a physical barrier that would act as a tray table for the aisle and window pax. Ok. Installed and removed by FAs or maintenance? By maintenance. So to do this they'll basically need a dedicated sub-fleet of planes with the blocker trays installed? Yea, basically. So if there's a tailswap, maintenance will need to take time from their day and come remove or install blockers? Ummmmmm......

She was receptive and wrote down my questions and said she would bring them up at their meeting the next day (today).

Everything else they want to offer is fine, but I don't trust our D-list management to actually make it work.

It also does nothing to address things like INOP wifi, catering carts half empty, and our generally half-assed operational quality.

Well good thing this guy is at United or this would have been the stupidest **** I've read on here. That's like complaining first class only has 2 seats we need a 3rd for my commute. Wasn't funny at all just stupid comment all around should probably worry about that 73 upgrade time and less about spirit seats. It's quite funny that pilots move to other airlines but feel the need to troll there past airline. I to wish I had a life.

Seriously! Thank you! It’s a sold seat it’s not available for commuting. Just bc it’s got an inanimate blocker in it it’s still revenue same as if a passenger was sitting there. What is hard for people to understand. It changes nothing about the commute.

And who the hell uses a FA supervisor as any kind of authority for anything. They about as informed as a CVS cashier.

It’s an interesting view. Almost as if from someone that never experienced what commuting is at any other airline that fills its aircraft. NK is unique in that there’s always at least 10 people that don’t show up, the company rarely oversells and non revs are few.

Spirit is in the business of (or at least supposed to) making money. Not providing empty seats for those that want to live elsewhere.

99% of NK flights have an empty jump seat up front, commuters will be fine. People avoid commuting on us
