Emirates to begin 2025 Pilot Recruitment in Amsterdam.

Emirates will kick off its 2025 pilot recruitment on January 20 in Amsterdam, seeking European candidates for positions including First Officers, Captains (7,000 flight hours required), Flight Instructors, and CRM Instructors.

Benefits
- Starting pay for Captains: $10,900 USD/month base
- Furnished housing with utilities in Dubai
- Education allowance: up to $14,200 USD (primary) and $21,600 USD (secondary) per child annually (max three children)
- 42 days of leave with business-class travel
- Rosters are 20-22 days on per month
- 800-900 flight hours per year

Crazy. As a legacy captain, I average about $40,000 per month working 14 days at the most. Some months don’t work at all.

I think we're coming full circle back to the days of "you get to have a flying job" as the main benefit.

guys born way before that..... remember the "Pay for training" days of Continental Express?

I had an FO have "Mother" for pay for his 73 type after a lecture from me about "pay for training is an absolute no". He's retired now after 30 plus years SWA. My advice is, don't take my advice.

Maybe it makes sense for people from Europe or Australia? I hear Ryan Air pay sucks. I still say a Spirit pilot would be better off at any regional while waiting for a furlough recall or a Big 3 class date.

Even counting the 'free' housing the pay rates are quite low for a wide-body captain especially considering the onerous 'rostering.'

If the economy goes down the drain then the math might change but right now there are plenty of jobs in the US that are better than this. I'm glad we have some actual numbers to talk about.
