Was this the same UAL pilot who was naked in front of the hotel window? Or perhaps it was the UAL pilot who chopped the parking lot gate with an axe.

I’ve heard it from several UA pilots and then a friend of mine from AA called me and told me the same stories. So either it’s the same stories, or there are a lot of dumba$$ doing the same thing.

I was there that day the guy chopped the gate down. Believe me if I had an axe or was driving the old truck I might have thought of it as well. Nothing sucks more than finishing a trip and getting stuck in the employee parking lot afterwards.

We’ve all been there. Had he dropped the axe I think it would have appeared a bit less unhinged, but watching him wrestle the employee for it, well…🤦♂️😂😂😂

That absolutely did not happen. The TSA “hero” lied and said he was twigging the berries but he simply got out of the shower and got dressed. Because of the glare the terminal windows were impossible to see through and he mistakenly thought there was equal glare on the Westin side of the windows. The charges were dropped.

Short version: the case against the pilot fell apart, he was reinstated at United, and Denver paid him a settlement.

I’d like to buy that guy a few rounds, because admittedly we all feel like that at times.

it was fixed that day. Then they switched to a different license plate reader instead of an NFC tag. Works vetter but occasionally there are issues but not that bad

So many barriers, both figuratively and literally, are put up for us to get to and from work. Parking, transportation, hotels, and the god awful TSA all compound each other.

Last I heard for AA we were aiming for similar numbers to UAL, and supposedly (big rumour) they’re trying to prioritise NK furloughs for assessments and interviews so hopefully we can take as many as possible

6-900 this year. 12 confirmed classes with option for 6 more. We just had our first street hire class and there were approximately 55 pilots in it. Numbers track for what the company/union are saying. 1-1500 is what the union is saying for next year. Looking back at the beginning of the year a significant number of new hires at AA were from Spirit (and other ULCCs).
