Not coming back is more of a pilot thing, they’re going to come back, beats working at whatever unskilled job

That’s an incredible over generalization.

Many many FAs at all airlines have impressive educations. Many do the job because they love it, not because they are entry level workers.

Yea, one of my friends is a former Spirit FA. She has a college degree and teaching cert. I don't know if she's one of the 500 eligible for recall, but she would pass anyway. She's moved on.

I was briefly a FA for a legacy some years ago. Just about everyone had a 4 year degree and some other kind of professional experience.

Cancelations.

Friday - 5%
saturday - 10%
Sunday - 11%

5% as of 6am Monday morning.

This is unsustainable and might be what ultimately pulls the trigger. How is reserve coverage today?

The job and the employee are separate things. Recent high school graduates routinely train ab initio to become flight attendants within weeks. It is not a job that requires particular skills which take many years of training or education to develop.

Flight attendants are critical to airline operations and good flight attendants possess a wide range of soft skills that would likely make them successful and valuable in many other jobs.

There's dignity in all work and all people. We would all benefit paying attention to those who champion this concept. That doesn't mean it is difficult for HR to generate acceptable candidates to be a flight attendant and to do it quickly.

This isn’t good. If only they had more aircraft and more crews to cover everything… Wait, that’s right they sold them and furloughed

I didn’t take what he said that way at all, i think he was just implying that NK didn’t treat them well which they didn’t.
