Default FAA/ERAU Study – pref. MCO A320 Pilots ($300)

ERAU is running an FAA-sponsored research study on pilot decision-making, and JetBlue has generously donated SIM time in Orlando to support it.

We’re looking for current and qualified A320 Captains and First Officers based in the Orlando area. Ideally from operators like JetBlue, Spirit (including recently furloughed pilots), or Frontier, since all have A320 pilot bases at MCO.

What to expect:

A LOFT-style sim leg that feels just like a normal line operation

All systems fully operational — just have fun, be yourself, and fly it like you would on the line

Bring your professional self, your iPad for charts, and your preferred checklist

Details:

Session length: ~2.5–3 hours (briefing + sim leg + debrief)

Compensation: $300 per pilot

Location: JetBlue University, Orlando

Dates available (slots are limited):

Sunday, Oct 5, 2025 — 0700–1100

Sunday, Oct 5, 2025 — 1900–2300

Friday, Oct 10, 2025 — 1100–1500

Saturday, Oct 11, 2025 — 0700–1100

Saturday, Oct 11, 2025 — 1500–2300

Sunday, Oct 12, 2025 — 0700–1100

Sunday, Oct 12, 2025 — 1900–2300

Purpose:

The study is designed to take a fresh look at how line pilots make decisions in day-to-day ops and to confirm (or update) the decision-making models currently used in the literature.
