Clearly the crews that are still here are the core strength of this airline. Upper management is shocked at how well the airline is running and prospective buyers have taken notice. In airline history when USAir, United, Delta and American took concessions and had furloughs their entire operation went to sh!t for years. It was clearly due to crews trying to show how disgruntled they were by causing delays, wasting fuel and abuse of sick time. We are braking the tired old airline pilot mold of throwing adult temper tantrums when things don’t go our way. Spirit pilots are taking the high road and are performing better than we ever have in our entire history. There is a real sense of camaraderie in the cockpit. We are the underdogs, we have always been the underdogs and we are not giving up. We purged the ranks thanks to legacy’s flood gates opening. The only ones left are the best. We are the safest and most reliable airline in the country. Body count ZERO. Hull loss ZERO.

Someone very important visited recurrent GS this week and he is quoted as saying “if you are willing to stick it out for little while longer, I can assure you that GOOD THINGS ARE COMING OUR WAY”.
Remember Joe Isuzu?
The pilots at “The New Eastern” were told much the same story. That “important person” is trying to stop the hemorrhaging of employees and will say anything to do so. It’s musical chairs and you’re going to find yourself standing.

The OP dropped a grenade and exited stage left. Not a single response after the post. If “someone very important” said those things in class then it clearly wasn’t confidential. There are a handful of people that already know our future. None of them visit ground school and none of them share privileged information no matter how vague or subtle.

People are going to do what people are going to do given the absolute **** storm the c suite has been raining down on this pilot group. Did they think people would stick around for more of it? And they reward those that stay with a massive compensation cut while they enrich themselves. But hey we’re the underdogs so it’s worth it.

Why don’t they go ahead and tell us the wonderful things coming our way bc last contact it was more furloughs and downgrades they knew they wanted for months yet held it close to the vest until now. They also said if we don’t play ball and take our cuts they will reject the contract. Good things eh

I heard the MEC chair was going to UAL. If that’s true, he must know more than the rest…

Sounds like you don’t actually know. Why don’t you just ask him instead of throwing out assumptions.
