Honestly, I had no desire to leave or wanted to leave. Just like many of us at the time. Once the JB merger failed we didn't know what was going to happened. I applied to the big 3 out of fear and more like a back up. Even up until the interview I wasn't sure I wanted to leave, but at the end I was happy I made the move.

I did. I got the email at nearly the exact time I was reading the speculation about impending liquidation. "Hire till you close the doors" I guess. I applied mostly to keep my options open in case they really did turn things around. I figured there were two options: best case they pull through and I'm on a seniority list that will eventually start growing again, and worst case I build my resume until they close their doors. It was always going to be a risky move, but now it's looking like all risk and no upside, so I don't think I'm going to schedule the interview. I really hope I'm wrong though and that they can turn it around for everyone there.

I don’t think there’s any real downside to scheduling the interview tbf.

Yeah, the slots are two weeks out and I suppose a lot could happen or not happen in that timeframe.

Better start prepping for questions like, "Why do you want to work at Spirit?"

Pretty high risk of being out of a job in the middle of training.

A lot of former employees that thought spirit was shutting down left to go to legacies. Now they are really struggling with the fact the Spirit is going to survive and they walked away from decades of seniority. Don’t listen to their nonsense.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA! My man, you owe me a new computer screen, I just spit my coffee out all over it.

I’ve flown with at least a dozen former spirit pilots. All loved it there, but they saw the writing on the wall and bailed.
