A few weeks ago, JC came into our recurrent class and gave us a brief update. Interestingly, one of the FIRST things he talked about was the A321s. He told us the company has NO plans to get rid of those aircraft next year and that they were staying. So, unless something changed in the last couple of weeks, the A321s are supposedly here to stay.

Most of the other posts here are pretty much in line with what he said (4 aircraft next year, flat growth, more frequencies). The "flat growth" thing isn't encouraging from a pilot standpoint.

"Flat Growth" isn't necessarily bad as long as the New AC's result in all of our guys back next year, or at least the chance to get back.!!

Growth and New Hires its a different story, it will be nice to see that. My guess, by MAR2010.

Meanwhile, we just need to get these guys back!

Cheers:)

They have been talking of getting rid of those A321s for a long time. You would think they are making a ton of $$$ on those packed San Juan flights.

Never heard anyone say anything about getting rid of 321's, Maint, CP, DO, Check-Amen, no one????? Speculation yes, but never from a source that really matters.

Sounds like good news Yawdamp'er enjoy that new bride and ACY;)

We may be having a different discussion here next month if the unemployment rate continues to climb and the dollar continues its decline, resulting in higher oil prices. Does anybody here question how the DOW is above 10,000 with unemployment at 10.2% and still climbing? It makes no sense.

Things are too volatile right now. We have to protect our turf and not let "other cows graze in our pasture." This is a BRUTAL business and the wolves are circling. If we are making money, you can be sure others have noticed and want a piece of that meat. We will have challenges and will have to rise to meet them.

Let's all hope for the best and for our furloughed folks to be back soon.

I have to agree with "THA SHIFT" on this, the rumors can drive one crazy, specially from the other board, lots of fighting, and name calling. Stay away from all that, check once in a while here or with friends.

Don't try to look for stories where there are not. For your own sanity.:)
