NO!!!!!! Several have gotten warning letters from the FAA for that very reason. It is NOT enough to stick the packet into your binder, it must be properly updated.

duh... take it out of the packet and place it in your binder. Please show me a FAR or something in NK's FOM that states they must be "ringed" or in sequential order. If so, every time you pull out your Jepps you are out of compliance:)

This is really a minutiae item as far as most of us are concerned......

I was told that Spirit has started interviewing again? Anyone know if this is true and when next class would start?

I did see the 6 Capt. upgrades for Aug 1 for FLL.

It's for a friend that wants to get on with us.

Hello to all,

JN

Listen. Im not trying to start a war here. If you havent noticed, the FAA has been on a warpath the last few years. Many of our pilots have had their records ruined over seemingly small items. Im telling you that the FAA has begun to crack down on pilots Jepp revisions. You can take that and do what you want with it. As for myself, Im going to sit in the crewroom, complete my Jepps, and then proceed to the aircraft...as instructed. If you want to argue to legality and wording in the FOM with the FAA, have fun with that.

Hello to all,

JN

I havent heard of another class anytime soon, but that doesnt mean there wont be one. I do know, and this may come as a shock to all of you, that we are way understaffed for the summer schedule. That being said, our staffing is probably on par with the fall requirement, and I would NOT want to see anyone hired just to be furloughed if fuel runs up any higher.

Tell your friend to definately be ready this fall.

Rumor- no more classes until September, maybe 1 per month after with the new A/C coming. Several interviews in April, I think there are at least a few in a pool now....

You wouldn't know it if you looked at the FLL open time for June. Like 10 trips for the rest of the month, and %75 of them are for the first week

Not in ACY though. I have been denied almost every swap for not enough coverage. Its starting to get really old.

So no open time AND no drops... Anybody know what percentage the initial reserve coverage has been? I remember something about there having to be a minimum initial reserve coverage. Something about a rolling 12 month average, but I don't have my cba with me. Seems like we haven't been able to get float or drops for a long time - like years.

Wait a second. I was assured by ALPA that this new contract would enforce proper staffing. I'm confused  hahahahahahhahahabahaha
