The current fleet plan on ir.spirit.com shows 16 deliveries in 2017 (8 A320s and 8 A321s) and the retirement of 4 A319s. Thus a net of 12 airframes.

It's written in the notes below the fleet plan that we are getting 10 A320s and 10 A321s in 2017, but retiring 2 A320s, retiring 2 A321s and then 4 A319s. Same net gain, but may be the reason for the 10 A321 discussion.

I don't get the roll eyes head of yours, but I'll play....I like spirit, it provides just fine so far, I get anything I need out of my schedule, my pay is good, my fly/credit is really good, and my family is happy, the future so far looks pretty good, co-workers are pretty good (with the exception of some NHs coming and complaining already that their regional was better..and still on high mins) what not to be happy about?, I don't get your little figurine comment!, ohh, I forgot who you work for, I get it now!!!

Indeed it does say that. I missed the note. Perhaps they should update the chart. Either way, the rumor as conveyed to me was that the 10 A321s would be used from a failed or failing foreign air carrier. I doubt these would arrive in 2017 if this particular rumor has any truth to it.

Sounds like they need to revamp the hiring process if that is a common attitude among the newhire crowd. Guess hiring the thickest logbook isn't the best plan after all?

FWIW, tomorrow is my one year anniversary and not to sound like a total d-bag, but I genuinely love working here :). There will always be things that need improvement but so far I'm really enjoying the ride. The best thing hands down have been the crews. It's nice to laugh and have a good time at work.

Lastly, I'm crediting 127hrs for March and blocking 72. Not bad considering it's my first month ever in my airline career where I'm making over $41.00 an hour. :)
