Depends on how much you study. Honestly, I felt I was prepared for the sim because you do the same thing over and over again. It's a big boy program so just study with your SIM partner and you will be fine. They aren't trying to trick you. It's all laid out in the packet they give you with the profiles. PM me if you have any other questions.

Spirit Airlines will be conducting limited on-site interviews at the Dallas job fair next week.

Can you please explain what "limited" means in this case? Do they decide randomly who receives an interview?

Ask the pilot reps at the job fair if they are getting paid for spending their off time at a job fair.

They did this 2 years ago at one of the job fairs. The common trait of those getting the onsite interview was Training Department experience. They had guys taking the Cognitive Test there and staying an extra day for the panel interview.

The list of pilots should be made public.
I thought SM and the P2P group stated this wasn't approved by the union!

It isnt something they are endorsing but something they cant force people to not do.

Especially when one of the volunteers is a current ALPA MEC committee chair member for us.

Only management and HR will be attending the Dallas event. My assumption is certain pilots will be asked to stay later in the day for a full interview. They will not be looking for certain types of pilots (LCA, Captains, etc), just pilots who really want to work for Spirit.

Yes it is only 4 simulator sessions, but leading up to the simulators you have done 13 sessions in a flight training device doing normal flights, two engine instrument approaches. So by the time you get to the sims you should be relatively proficient at doing normal procedures and pushing off the gate within 15minutes.

The only thing the sims add are engine failures. You do everything else in a FTD because it's cheaper. And because the FAA only allows type rides in a simulator. If spirit could give type rides in an FTD to save money they would.

That's what I tell people, too. In reality we get 17 sim sessions, just that only 4 are full-motion.
