What’s the possibility they run first year FO pay to $90/hour? Matching Frontier.
Speaking of Frontier, well actually speaking of Spirit, as NK exits the LCC market (with regulator approval of course) are there routes to capitalize upon? Growth opportunity? Or is Sunny maxed out there.
I’m an FNG. OO guy starting class soon.

Any old Sunny Pilots regret leaving?
As the title says, looking for input from any old sunny pilots who have moved on to "greener pastures" and what their experiences have been.
I have two offers currently. One from a legacy pax carrier and one from UPS . Both would require me to commute, moving to base is not on the table for a few years.
I was planning to hang my hat here but I am disappointed in the direction the schedules and general QOL are going. As other pilots have stated, NONE of us who came here a few years back signed up for multiple 5 & 6 day trips every month. Currently if you are not 20% in your seat you are spending half the month in hotels. I don't expect turn lines only but shorter trips with a mix of turns would make a differance .
Looking at the schedules of the other carriers, I would have the same if not better QOL commuting to a base and more days off. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around why anyone at this point would stay here. The risk to reward ratio (Better QOL) of staying here is no longer in play.

I couldn’t agree more with your complaints. I know of a guy who left Sunny for a legacy this year. He’s on a NB flying 12-13 days per month. Another buddy flies for an AA regional tells me they get time and a half (or something similar, can’t remember exact verbiage) when they’re worked into their 5th day. No line is intentionally built there with more than 4 days on the road at once.
Once the legacies and southwest sign new contracts it’ll be interesting to see how many more people jump ship

I don’t work for SCA, but if you are really honest about QOL being a priority, UPS is not where I would look

I ended up taking a short detour to United before landing at Delta. I had to commute to NYC for a few months, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, and we had positive space. My first full month after OE, I held 3 four day trips, Monday through Thursday with Easter off. Sounds juicy, however neither end was commutable. So it did turn into 3 6 day trips essentially. However, if trips end up being commutable on either end, that'll save you a day. Even better if they're commutable on both ends! I'm now MSP based and will be working weekends for a long time, but current October schedules are looking like 3 four day trips for around 75 credit hours for the junior guys. If you have the possibility of moving to your legacy base in a few years, it'll be worth it. My Sunny peers that were awarded the A-220 and can't bid back to MSP yet (not a 220 base), have 0 regrets leaving. As you get more senior you get better trips and will have far better control over your schedule than you ever will at Sunny. You'll have so many more options, especially with international on the table, to find something that will work for you and your family. If I were making the decision, especially with regards to QOL, I would rank it the following:
1. Home Based (Legacy or Cargo)
2. Commuting Cargo
3. Commuting Legacy
4. Home based Sunny
5. Commuting Sunny
P.S Bid the Bus!
