in 3200 hrs, only failures were the activation of overspeed governor test limiting RPM to 2000 on one engine..... 3 occasions on three different airplanes (-20) over 7 years.

I know the T-6 Texan II had some chip detect issues early on due to the flip/flop oil sump sucking air during 0 and negative G maneuvers, so they pretty much prohibited them.

Im a Turbine Engineer....you would be surprised what some boroscopes find on engines that run well except for a "slight vibration"

Just had an FCU failure in the B200. Flew for an hour and a half without issue, unloaded passengers. Loaded up a few hours later and the right engine wouldn't go over 55% N1. Glad it happened when it did.

Yes, -114 in Grand Caravan. PT failure at low altitude. Ditched. One passenger died of heart attack after getting out. Not a fan of PT-6.
Aircraft and engine were new 2002, engine first run. On MORE program.

Only problem I ever had was an oil pressure loss on a -34. It happened right before my eyes when we were doing our trend data, so we actually shut down before problems. Never actually found out what happened, but I'm guessing oil pump.

I have 2900 hrs behind -42 and -60. B200 and 350. Never a single stutter. Just my experience. Your mileage may vary.
