Reliability of ELECTRIC airplanes in question

Went to Norfolk in a Tesla last week...If I could afford to buy one today I would and get rid of the gas powered car...Amazing vehicle. Tesla supercharger saturation is moving ahead on a ambitious schedule. Their plans for lighter batteries are also moving ahead and Tesla plans to bring out two new vehicles (an SUV and a smaller 4 door) in the next few years...Honestly, I was completely blown away by the rate at which the super chargers at the tesla charging station in Richmond got the car charged up while I had a coffee and bagel at Panera bread...

Just waiting for the "used" Tesla market to get a little more rational. One hour to charge (or less) at a SuperCharger. SuperChargers to be staggered across the country so that any Tesla owner can drive anywhere in the US and southern Canada by the end of 2015 (but will be mostly done by the end of 2014). Western Europeans and UK owners will be able to the same in their corner of the world by the end of 2014/2015.

Probably will go down in the history books as one of the best cars ever made. I'm saving for one right now

Yeah...Same here...The smaller 4 door will be about 80% smaller than the current 4 door. Priced at mid 40s. That's right in my range and I keep my cars for 10+ years. Battery replacement program(s), warranty, customer support are exceptional at current - will only get better...

I'd buy a Porsche 918 tomorrow if I could. It's a hybrid done RIGHT.
Once electric cars and the infrastructure get better, I'll get one. It's not a matter of being able to afford one, it's simply a matter of them becoming practical. Which today they aren't. Tomorrow they probably will be.

Exactly, which is why I'm waiting.
