RVSM
I'm studying for an upcoming interview. I've been reading about RVSM but want to know more. The books all address FL-290-FL410 and that they allow for more traffic, and the crew has to be trained and qualified and the aircraft certified, but haven't read anything about contigencies (WX deviations and emergencies) and other facets about it. Is there a good in depth PDF or article I can read more about it? Internet searches haven't yielded anything

Read the AIM if you haven't.
Not really much to worry about re. contingencies...RVSM already allows more aircraft into less space than non-RVSM.
If you can't maintain RVSM standards (either required equipment failed or actual altitude deviations due to drafts, etc) then you notify ATC and they'll either give you non-RVSM separation or have you leave RVSM airspace.
If you know in advance that you won't meet RVSM standards, you'll need advance notification and authorization although I think non-RVSM airplanes which can operate above FL410 are allowed to climb/descend through RVSM with no level offs.
