Default CJ4 cold weather ops

Looking for guys flying CJ4, for some guidance. We just bought a CJ4 and I'm looking for cold weather ops advice from you. Anything outside of what Flight Safety covers. We have the cold weather limitations, but if there are any other practical procedures, I'd really appreciate anything you could share with us. Thanks

Most POH's I've seen that offer guidance on de-icing will have information in the safety and operational tips section.

Also there is an AC for GA deicing operations that will include generic de-ice holdover times.

Flew one up in the north east last winter for about 100 hours or so. The plane is great in ice. I would Icex the back boots and wings, that stuff really works well.

Great plane. I loved it when I flew it. You might want to check out "Citation Cold-Weather Operations manual" that should be available on CessnaSupport.com

If you want a plethora of info on CJ4 ops, you should have the owner join the Citation Jet Pilots Owner Pilot Association (CJP). www.citationjetpilots.com

It's $300/year. For that, the owner gets a $500 certificate each year on Cessna service and parts. And a bunch of other things that make it a no-brainer. I've seen guys save a few thousand on training with ProFlight or FlightSafety. The organization helped one owner get a six-figure refund from Cessna on another issue. They will get their $300 back... if that is an issue for someone with an $8M jet.

Their forum has a lot of knowledgable owners and pro pilots.
