Default How fast are new candidates getting to class?

I am sure I don't have the proper wording here, but can someone tell me how quickly new hires are getting to flight school? So if TS hires me is there a big delay before I head to training? I used to hear stories about how pilots were given dates 6 months out.

Thanks!

I interviewed early January and had a class date for late February. So I don't think so.

I would recommend applying and interviewing as soon as you are within six months of availability but at least three months out, if possible, to take advantage of the Seniority Reservation Program. I don't know that TSA has ever had much of a backlog for class dates but the SRP creates a big incentive to get a jump on things.

Received CJO last week; no class date available until early April.

I talked to a friend that is at TSA, and told me that all new hire classes have been suspended and new hires are being offer an option to go to GoJet instead, also if you were to receive a CJO at TSA expect delays in training, I have a friend that started in the class by mid-August 2019 and he just took his sim check ride 2 days ago.

Buddy of mine was supposed to start end of Feb. Class moved to April. Reason from TS, they are short on captains right now.

Had the option of going to Go Jet instead.
