Phone call? When I interviewed last August, I walked out of the interview and into the HR room to pick up my newhire paperwork. :P

They send you into the lobby where you sit and sweat for about 15 minutes. Barring a felony conviction you're then sent to HR and given the paperwork.

What I meant was how long it took to get the phone call after you sent in your resume

Four months back when I went through.
Right now I think it's more like four days.

A friend of mine (brand new hire, started training Aug. 6) walked in my resume this past Monday, 8/13. Got a call that same day and set up an interview for next Tuesday, 8/21. I heard they're interviewing for the October class now.

If you're emailing them from a gmail account, it might get blocked. I sent the pilot recruiter an email on Tuesday with a question about the FCC license, and heard nothing back. I called today to follow-up and she said "You know, it might have been blocked by the server, let me check... yeah, here it is. The system bans certain emails, I'm glad you called or else I'd never have seen it."

Give them a call, tell them that you're just following up on your resume.

Even better idea would to be to send your resume in via USPS Priority, with signature confirmation... that way you know that it'll get there and that they'll see it. That's what I'm going to do in the future, I'll only email my resume if it's what they specifically want.

when I got my job, I called first and then sent a resume, and had to interview the next morning.

I know they are looking for people pretty bad now.

Has anyone heard how quickly the FO s are leaving now. it just kinda seems like they are leaving slower now than they were a few months ago

I haven't really heard anything about the rate FOs are leaving. I would imagine it is becoming slower, since the airlines have been slowly increasing the minimum time requirements to get "hired on."

I have an interview with TSA coming up soon. Are there any "new hires" out there who would like to share some of the questions they got asked? Also, did most guys wear a shirt&tie, a coat&tie, or a suit? Any other tips you may have? Every little bit helps.

I heard cutoff shorts and sandals was the dress code.

The interview process at trans states now begins with a inspection of your temporary certificate, and you are immediately offered the job if the signatures can be smeared.
