I'm not stirring anything. Why is that not a legitimate question? There is clearly opportunity for advancement flying for them right now. Would you honestly sit on the street, on unemployment before accepting a captain position?
I ask this because I think that management will ask the same thing in the event the worst outcome presents itself (furlough)

First part is patially true, second part is not true. Turboprop will be awarded in the 1st quarter of 2012. RFP is for the end of 2012. Second part blowing smoke.
I guess I was stirring the pot a little. Not all facts. Just in my experience, any negative rumors turn out true and anything positive never happens. Just from what I've heard from somebody that went through recurrent recently. Although, IMO, it seems like the writing is on the wall for the IAD base. Just seems like it's slowly fading away.
