Hate to say I told you so! It was supposed to be all upgrades by the end of the summer. If that was going to happen, I would think we would have heard something by now. A class of 8 and a handful of upgrades in june is hardly what I would be hearing if there was going to be anything happening. 11 people left this past month alone and only 2 accepted recalls (understandably so). For a company that employs a paltry 240ish pilots, 11 is a lot of people. Hence the new hire class. Even if they say in a official company memo they're going to get 1000 airplanes, I would believe it until I was in one of the planes. Now I hear rumors that it's going to be by the end of the year instead of the end of the summer. It always seems to be in the not too distant future but always seems to get pushed back as soon as it gets close.

I have heard the new hire training at TSA leaves a little to be desired. How is it these days? As opposed to say, 2007?

Well, thousands of pilots have gone through new hire training here and passed. We've all heard the ol' "if you can get through training here...you can get through anywhere!". I don't know how true that statement is. I do know that if you knuckle down and are commited you should get through training anywhere.

I think he is referring to training not being adequate?

Which is my point. If it wasn't adequate no one would pass. If he's asking if you get spoon fed then that is something different.

what's TSA current minimum 500/50 doesn't seem realistic due to the new rule. I have about 850/60 have them in airlineapps and sent them an email. Nothing back yet. Advices please.
