Quote: Naw bro, i dont wannt get caught up in the bs of apc but even i have to speak up. 3 or 4 *****es who would complain about being given a big bag of gold cause its too heavy to carry, one of which (you) is jaded cause you made a dumb choice, pad the price, and got fired, and is missing out on some senority and pic time. And then a few hundred pilots with decent qol and a good number of cqfo's who things are working out quite nicely for.

For months you've been on here talking **** and im tired of having to sift through it to read useful stuff.

You're gone, done, you dont work here anymore. You screwed up, acted like an idiot and paid the price, it sucks that happened to you sure but you brough it on yourself. Stop whining, make like frozen and let it go.

Seriously, get over it. You're mucking up my mood.

This is a good place to work.
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you. It is bad place to work, and based on my experience, as soon as they can't find people, they'll start with the carrot dangling and the half truths. Then twist your arm into compliance once you are on board. Don't have an emergency at home.
I couldn't care less about the PIC time at TSA. I do care about my pay and QOL that have gone up substantially since I got the boot.
So I will come in here, give my view on this company, in this public forum, when ever I please.

Who is going to take advice from a guy who got fired? You got caught red handed end of story. Things are improving here slowly, only thing you can provide is outdated information.
Quote: Whatever bro.... I happen to be one of those CQFOs who got in early. I've probably flown 70% as a captain, which is nice. I'm getting paid more than the other regional I worked at too. My problem, everyone's problem with TSA is not necessarily the pay or quick upgrade times. It is the fact that we have a terrible training program (absolutely no standards, whats right depends on the check airman you have), the majority of the pilot group is odd, and very few actually know how to fly a jet. I've had to sit right seat with guys who think they're in a turboprop. I gave this place a fair shake when I left my other regional making $37 an hour. Guess what, if I could go back and keep my seniority I would. I don't care how long it takes to upgrade there. My QOL and attitude were night and day compared to this place. We had an awesome pilot group and flew an awesome aircraft. In 4 years I never had one person on my "no fly" list. Since January at TSA I have two female Captains in IAD and two FO's that I will never fly with again. Actually if I see them crewing a flight I have to DH on, I'm getting off. So you can go around calling archer, transmistake, and myself idiots and *******s who just complain all you like but we are entitled to our opinion. I never said TSA wasn't a safe place to work and I'm not going around bashing MX or the A/C. All I have done is voiced my displeasure with my experience there. Others, TSA has worked out great for, good for them. Still, my experience and others who are in my position have not had a fun time when we compare it to our last airlines. Will you upgrade fast at TSA and will you get paid, yes. Will you enjoy your life and fly with fun people, NO.... END
Who the heck have you been flying with??...lol. I know one of the female captains you're referring to, and she's on everybody's no fly list. Honestly, I'm really surprised she hasn't been fired yet. The other one your're referring to, I have no idea who that is. Most of the guys you fly with outta Dulles are great. You seem to be getting the few weirdos and knuckleheads though. Every company has a few bad apples man. As far as the training department, if you've had problems, then that's on you. Those guys are fair if you come prepared, with a good attitude, and fly like you're supposed to. I hear of idiots going in there unprepared and arguing with instructors. If you do that, you deserve to fail. I'm guessing you came from Republic?? The guys from there tend to ***** the most...don't know why.
For anyone reading this thread, the guys that come on here and trash the company constantly are the same guys who have a terrible attitude in real life. I say that with absolute certainty. Look at my post history...I am no company cheerleader, but this place is nothing like these guys claim. 90% of the problems come from 10% of the people...that is a fact. It's always a select few that are complaining, getting in trouble, and failing. They just don't know how to act.

Yup, very slowly, so they have less to undo when things stagnate again and they come back asking for concessions.

Another bitter guy....who came here and decided to ignore our SOP because he knows more. If you follow the SOP, know the GOM, and listen to the ALPA mentors and instructors you'll be fine. However if you come here with an attitude that you know it all because you worked at XXX airline, try to lecture our APDs, Captains, and Instructors that they don't know what they are doing, or decide you already know everything and don't need to study you will be in trouble.

Guys like you are hell to fly with...Nobody cares how you did it or what life was like at XXX airline. This is Trans States and we do things our way. If you don't like it hit the road.

And if you are comparing this place to the flaming dumpster fire known as Republic, I worked there and I will take working for Hulas over the Reverend any day of the week.

It's a great place to work as long as you don't ignore the contract and company policy, get caught, and then give the Chief Pilot a bunch of attitude when he has a meeting with you about following company policy and the contract.

You were stupid and deserved to get fired. End of story.

Please, this was a bad place to work before I gave the chief "attitude." What I asked for wasn't at all unreasonable, and the company decided it didn't give a ($((. So stop acting like after 18 years of solid work experience I just came to this great company and decided "hey, I think I just don't want to follow the rules." Stop acting like none of the Captains I flew with weren't complaining about their time there, and what predictions they were told when they were hired. This place is one of the worst regionals to work for as far as In concerned.
Folks, what is this contract thing that is being referred to frequently? And why are so many voting no?

It's a contract where pilots vote on to try and make their qol better. Every airline does this.
