The reason I posted the facts on the two companies retirement plans is to bring context to why some double breasted crybabies started throwing stones at Joe all over the forums. Plane and simple they are made he has a FAT pension plus a sizeable DC plan. This BS pot stirring was started by them ATL boys not us at purple. Hey, I just am simply posting what ALPA national retirement committee knows. What they know is what makes these few spear throwing individuals from DL mad. They know that Joe got his and the market crash and DL took theirs. They are jealous plan and simple. They are mad that the house they live in is falling apart from within due to infighting. They are mad Joe won the power position while they played slap hands with each other.

Ok pal. I'm not lobbing baseless accusations. I was only responding to someone who said basically his "total" retirement compensation over the years might be less. That's just not true. Actually it may be true for a couple of years but that shortfall will be made up quickly when you add in a National retirement that he will now get. If the poster had referenced just his FedEx retirement, I wouldn't have comment at all. You just need to use a little common sense.

Answer me this: When JD finishes his term and starts receiving his FedEx retirement AND starts receiving his National retirement, will that add up to more or less money? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. I'm not making any comment about him as a person or whether or not what he did was right or wrong.

If I want to lob a grenade, this is how I'd do it. The only comment I would make regarding him would be that I might have a problem with his integrity. Here is the question: Did he or did he not state at the BOD that he would not retire and remain an active pilot? I understand circumstances change and he was unable to get a PLOA from FedEx. When did he know about this? Before or after he was elected at the BOD meeting?

Now you can accuse me of dropping a grenade.

Edit: Frankly I don't GAS about this whole thing. I'm sure he will do a better job than the last guy. Heck he pretty much can't do worse.

Totally wrong, the individuals involved throw stones at all things ALPA every chance they get. They would have thrown the same stones if not more had it been a Delta guy. It’s about being anti ALPA and looking under every rock for negative things to post true or not.

So... as the OP, I think I have a certain obligation to defend at least MY perspective on this.

You know me. You know that I just don't throw rocks at ALPA like some of the respondents. I started this thread (and the one on UAL) to try to get some answers to the RUMORS that were out there. What I didn't count on was a bunch of snowflake respondents that acted like I was questioning their very manhood and shooting their dog in the process. Both sides of this issue have acted like a bunch of 12 year old girls. It took way over 10 pages to get ANYONE that actually answered the question about the retirement. Everyone else acted like there was something nefarious or sour grapes or some other bull**** going on. I guess living in the dark about any of this is much better than even simply asking the question... at least according to the responses it received.
