From my perspective, Delta pilots are the most vindictive, politically amoral gangsters I have ever seen. Is someone, somewhere at another airline getting a marginally good deal? We must snuff it out when put an end to this nonsense even if it's well within the rules of the union. Quick! Bring your pitchforks!

Wow Joe DePete has his little group of defending the defenseless.
Joe DePete was asked countless times if he would continue to be a pilot.
He gave his word over and over and over that he would.
He played us all and cares only for himself. The ultimate politician.
I sat with him for 20 minutes and asked him this very question. First hand and face to face he promised to continue as a FedEx pilot and not retire.
This type of selfish and greedy behavior severely weakens the union.
Honor is something no man and give you and no man can take away.
He must resign or be recalled.

Seems odd that there is no provision requiring ALPA National officers to be members of an ALPA-affiliated seniority list (and yes, the LOA category would suffice b/c if your term ended or you got recalled from office, you still have a pilot position to return to). Retire and you should be done at National effective the same day as your retirement. This seems like common-sense...guess not.
And, if this story is in fact true, I hope some 2nd grader at Herndon Elementary fingerpaints his portrait for "The President's Wall." 😁
