Why leave ALPA? With both our collective numbers we will run ALPA. Duane's departure was the first time an incumbent president seeking reelection has not been elected to his current position in the history of ALPA. If I were a member of the mustache crew in Herndon I would start getting a little worried about your office space. Especially since their most recent act was to start assesing my retirement as part of eligible income for dues assesment. Here is a message to all the boys and girls in top leadership positions in Herndon. "I really feel bad that over the past few years your incompetence to lead us and assist us has lead to a reduction in your income. I suggest you start learning how to budget better, start washing your clothes instead of taking them to the cleaners all the time, take public transportation and drop the drivers, start pulling in favors from those in Congress for the countless meals at Mason Blanch and various other well to do eating establishments in DC." Just my simple suggestion from a member of the Pretorian Guard that will run ALPA very soon.

Selcal, I'm not a member of the Guard but I totally agree with you.To borrow an Obamaism "it's time for change".

Do you know how pathetic you look when you compare people with whom you disagree to Adolf Hitler?

Hitler killed 6,000,000 innocent people. Quite a bit different than someone telling what you perceive as an untruth.

You are an incredible dullard for making such a comparison.

Not to be anal about it, but he was responsible for the murder of way more than 6 million people. There aren't enough levels of Hell for that POS.

Hmmm, interesting. Could you tell us 'who' got cut? Or perhaps how much the staff took in pay cuts? From review of the 'green sheet' it looks pretty well manned to me. While there has been some turnover, there are few empty offices.

Cool alpa self serving

Over My 23 Years Of Being An Nwa Guy Several Of My Buddies Became Alpa Elected Reps. Most Of Those Guys Went In To The Job With The Approach Of Being There For The Pilots And Doing The Best They Could Do For The Pilots. After A Few Months In The Job And The Initial Indoc Trip Out To Herndon You Noticed A Change In These Guys. They Suddenly Drank The Coolaide And Became Agents For The Good Of Alpa And Not The Pilots Anymore. That Is Why At Nwa The Union Has Always Took The Position Of Protecting Jobs And Getting Guys Back On The Property As A Top Proiority Because The More Guys The More Money The Union Would Get. Also Our Union Guys Have Had Some Very Elaborate And Expensive Union Dinners And Meeting In Some Very Fancy Places. Also I Witnessed Down Right Theft Of Union Dues Money By Merger Comittie Members Who Bragged About Still Getting Hotels And Rental Cars For Merger Related Issues When There Were No Issues. Alot Of Guys Become Union Reps To Self Serve Themselves And They Know Who They Are. A Lot Of Guys Really Sacrifice Alot And Work Realy Hard And work For The Pilots And They Know Who They Are. I Do Know That Some Reps Who Were Personal Friends Of Mine That Were Concerned About The Pilots whom Did Not Take The Mec alpa Posiotion On Certain Issuses Were Completely Cut Off On Alpa Communications. So It Seems That The Organization Has Its Faults In That If You Don't Agree With The Big Boys You Are Out. So I Would Say That Overall I Would Like To See A Change In Alpa To Get The Organization Back To The Interest Of The Pilots And Not The Interest Of The Union. If That Can't Happen Then We Shoud Go It Alone. I Want My Dues Money To Be Used For The Betterment Of The Pilot Group And Not The Betterment Of Apla And Its Fine Dinners And Crap That Goes On In Washington. Its Broke And It Needs Fixing. This Is Just What I Have Seen And Witnessed In 23 Years. Sorry To Those Guys Who Are Good Alpa Reps But Deep Down You Know That There Are Abuses Of Alpa Dues Money And There Are Those Reps That Are There For The Betterment Of Themsleves. Thanks To The Good Guys That Are In Alpa And You Know Who You Are.

Good Luck To Us All!!!!
