How do you guys feel about the big 737-10 MAX order? Will that be a popular bid? Friends who fly the 900 tell me the thing is tough to land and, not surprisingly, a bit tight and uncomfortable up front (like most 737s)...

I'm hoping for some 321's and 330's....

What everyone is looking for is the insight into what will be the replacement plan for the older and smaller 737-700/800 and 319/320s. With a two year lead time on orders, they need to start getting serious with a plan. |

Why would you need 321s after just committing to 161 200-seat airplanes?

Their current fleet starts coming off lease in 2020. United has 160ish 737 Max variants deferred until 2020, the 737-700 order that's been converted to Max 10's mainly. Alaska final fleet plan will be announcement at the end of the year. United fleet plan will be announced at the end of the year (4Q according to last Investor Conference presentation). Makes too much sense to actually happen though. |

Whats wrong with the current guppy fleet, other than the fact they're guppies? They have years of life left, most delivered in the last 4 years.

A majority of the 800s were delivered in 1998-2001. Are we going to fly them for 25 years? 30 years? The 320/319s are a little bit older. Without a plan to replace these smallest of our fleet we are going to end up with a gap from 76 seats to 200. You have entire airlines that fit in that seat range. |

Luxury verses compromise, growth and seat movement verses stagnation these are what the Fleet Plan reallly means to pilots. |

There are rumors that JB is considering dumping the E190 but that is all speculation at this point. I guess UAL could pick up JB's discarded E190s too.............. |

Well, clearly the CSeries 100/300 could fit the bill.... As far as I know, Republic's original order for 40 CS300s is still outstanding:
