Doesn't show backfills on the bus anywhere...should still show up on the final though, keep that bid in.

Check the min/max numbers on the bulletin.... The min numbers are less than the current pilot count. Therefore they are not required to backfill. Doesn't mean they won't, but just depends on what they want to do with the numbers there.

Why? I don't get that. If one goes out, one should go in. Right? Unless they're downsizing. So the last minute crap where the final looks so different than the snapshots is because why?

Same on the 756. We’re opening over 60 positions on it and not a single 756 backfill to another base...
But the DEN 320 isn't new and there are quite a few moving out of it. 7 Captains and 6 FOs. My bet the final looks way different. |

How does that factor in w/ LTA and SUP slots? Are those usually backfilled also?

I can maybe understand that as the flying "may" move from those other hubs since DEN 756 is a new 756 hub.

I took another look at the min/max, and that's where the answer is.
If the number out drops a BES below the min, the backfill shows up on the snapshot. If it is still at min or above, the company isn't required to backfill regardless of how many bid out; thus, it isn't until the final that they post backfills above the min. For instance, DEN 737 FO is 172 min/172 max. DEN 320 FO is 132 min/162 max. 7 guppy guys bid out, 7 come in on snapshot. 6 bus guys bid out, company can choose to do nothing or backfill 1-6 guys. So they'll wait to see how everything else shakes out before adjusting the new min/max and releasing the unfilled for new hires. |
