No worries, everyone that was hired in April/May is in the same boat. I have 6 day stretches over both Turkey Day and Christmas. Most of the Feb/March guys I know are able to bid holidays and weekends regularly because they are the "senior" reserves (define that however you want). I was, however, recently able to enjoy my first weekend off since being hired, so there's that!

You need to know the base and seat before you can say anything. As an example you see the individual who was hired in March and already has weekends and holidays off because he is in a base and seat that grew a ton in the last 2 bids. When I got hired in '96 I bid 737ORD FO. I was 2nd from the bottom for 18 months because man power planning guessed the the company was about to purchase more 737s so they beefed up 737 ranks and the company bought A320s instead so they had to use attrition for years to thin out the 737 ranks in Chicago. Same could happen today if one goes to a 756FO position somewhere and the rumored used 767-300s don't show up.

Long story short, you can't say anything until you know the base and seat, and even then it can change overnight based on outside events or management whims. Think carefully on what your priorities will be over the next 5 years - money or time at home - and then do what you can to achieve those goals but know that no plan is certain in this crazy industry.

I should have added though, that of the 2 BES you listed it looks like A320 FO would see much faster movement, at least in 2018, but like I said that could all change tomorrow.
