Hypothetically: the company hears your plaint and says, starting in March, they'll be published no later than 0000 on the 17th instead of the 18th. March comes around, there will the same guys saying, "it's 2250 on the 16th and the lines aren't out yet, why can't they get them out early." The next month, the company says they'll publish them no later than 0000 on the 16th. April comes around, the same guys are saying, "it's 2250 on the 15th and the lines aren't out yet."

Exactly. There are people I have flown with who defend this system and I just cannot understand how that’s possible. It’s terrible.

should be published at 0300LBT on the 17th... that way we will all be sound asleep and have something to look forward to in the morning (like Christmas). :D

PBS is a concession.
Rename it to BIS...Butts In Seats. Cuz that's all it really does. It puts booties in chairs. |

I do not like PBS, but I wouldn’t use SWA as an example of the gold standard of IT-just ask anyone that works there-it’s worse than we are. (I’m not just talking about bidding). I’d be happy to close bidding a week earlier if we could get our schedule a week earlier. |
[QUOTE=terminal;2506069]But they also do line bidding which really doesn’t have he same computing requirements as PBS. [QUOTE]
Keep It Simple Sam. Think of all the money SWA is saving on computers..... PBS is a concession. If SWA pilots were to concede and give in to management, they would need a 30 % pay raise to nibble on the cheese. The CAL and UAL pilots, with one post merger contract and one extension have yet to be properly reimbursed for their concessions, the concession that keeps on giving. No manpower staffing minimums, minimum ALPA input, and no ALPA control. It's a concession because it allows the company to operate unfettered, reduce staffing, and it forces pilots to give up control, and in the end, it marginalizes and abrogates your seniority. Seniority used to mean allot...That was before PBS. Now, not so much. |

Thank you!! It’s not a real problem at UAL. Being a first officer is a choice. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
