About a hundred years ago, my buddy was in showed up for his final SIM check-ride at Value-jet. They sent him home! Then he went to TWA. After a year or so, they too sent him home.

What a great industry.

Just had my cqmv yesterday, instructor stated new hire training for 2018 has been reduced. He wasn't sure why.

Probably because they didn't get the 30 used airbi they thought they were going to get.

They won’t be satisfied until reserves are flying 70 hours a month. Seeing the enormous pressure they’re under to increase margins, I won’t be surprised if 90 hour lines and SRM are the new norm. Probably won’t hire many more than necessary to keep up with attrition until that happens.

You nailed it. Word on the street is Kirby wants RSV productivity up way up. Can't say I blame the guy. I have 7 hours in Jan and most likely won't fly this week at all.

They cancelled mine last year during the pre-brief.

They called me a couple of days ahead.
What a treat to have reserve duty now that they screwed up, ugh.

So what’s the best way to let our negotiators know that this needs to be changed? PDR, email, phone call?

Pretty gross stuff.

If you know your reps, just talk to em. An email to your reps is a bit more permanent. I’d say the best way is to bring it up at an Lec meeting. You can PDR it but it will come back as a dead end if it’s contractually allowed. Good to have a record though.

Well, I'll enjoy the ride while it lasts...
