8-10 years for upgrade at SWA. If you want to upgrade faster (in NB and depends on base) UAL will probably get you there faster.

SWA for more days off
UAL for less legs flown.

Also SWA for scheduling flexibility.

More days off for the first few years at SW. Once you get on the widebody way less work at UA. I have been on a WB since About 2.5 years on property and have never worked more than about 10-12 days a month. That includes a commute from Denver.

Guys that were hired in this latest wave should have substantially lower upgrade time. Probably in the 5-7 year range presuming we stick with the numbers being thrown out.

Yeah I just meant Max’s

Still getting 161 (-1 we just got) and still wish they were airbuses.

Apples to Oranges though.

Yr 5 FO at UAL can hold WB making $200/hr. Quite a big difference.

Changing my response. Looks like 2nd yr pilots will likely see the 777 this yr. Can’t wait for that snapshot tomorrow!

Or Monday...

How come it’s going down to 2nd year? Are you guys expanding widebody flying that much?
