Ugh this is all too confusing. I had A meet and greet late last year, I have a LOR in airlineapps. Ultimately i just hope it means something eventually

I hope it means something for you too.

I knew A LOT of guys that had them years ago, but turned out to be nothing as they were becoming very common, there was a switchover over in head of pilot hiring, etc had all happened.

But I'm inclined to believe that this new M&G is a much more exclusive deal and carries better odds of it leading to an HPI.

I think some guys that had M&G's last summer got late 2017/early 2018 HPI's.

As I was led to believe in my M&G and by someone “in the know” the CP letter wasn’t a guaranteed interview, just an amount of points on your application... If that put you over the threshold to get a call, you went into the “short stack” to be interviewed. However, once in that stack, your position in that stack is relative to everyone else, as in you don’t automatically go to the top.

Apparently the AirlineApps rec from the CP is weighed roughly same as a normal LOR, maybe worth a tad bit more. The letter sent directly to the hiring dept is the big one.

Good to know. Thank you! One question: How do you get a letter sent directly to the hiring department? Are those the “2 a month” the CP can send to them? Thanks again.

Maybe get a letter from in-flight. They evidently run our pilot hiring anyways.....

Let the company know your frustrations in the Glint survey.
