Default Japan is running out of whisky!

For all you Whisky drinkers especially those with a few Japan trips coming up better stock up.

The Hakushu 12 year single malt and Hibiki 17 year will no longer be for sale starting next month.

Very appropriate username.

Wish I had a Japan trip coming up. The 17 is probably some of the best scotch I’ve had.

Hopefully, this doesnt mean the Nikka Coffey Grain disappears.

As far as age statements, Elijah Craig went through the same thing a few years ago. They were running out of stock for their 12-year-old bourbon, so it has since been sold without an age statement. It is still very good stuff and a steal.

Well maybe I’m the victim of a lie. I thought it was distilled with highland water then aged in Japan. Tried to find evidence of that and I cannot.

Is Hibiki suddenly distilled in Scotland?
It’s Japanese whisky. And it’s delicious.

There’s a reason why it’s called Scotch Whisky, and others bourbon whisky, Canadian whisky, etc.

“Regualations and Labeling”;

Although the Japanese do have some that have flavor profiles resembling various scotches.
