How long are the EWR overnights for SFO756? For a EWR local, getting overnights at home and doing a reverse commute could potentially not be too bad, especially with the higher second year Pay. But I’d assume if you wanted EWR, it’s easier to get there in the 737/320 than 756 right? Especially as a NYer who’d actually prefer to do LGA trips instead of driving across the river to EWR.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Transcon commute EWR-SFO for a two day. Redeye back to EWR for a day layover. Afternoon back to SFO, done. Now immediately transcon (most likely redeye) back home to EWR. A cursory look at the last few bud packs says SFO756 does probably 50%+ two day trips (which are mostly BOS). If you have a crash pad and are on reserve and live in EWR this could potentially be a good thing. Bid for six day work blocks and go home in the middle of it once or twice, otherwise it’s gonna suck. |

Except that SFO 756 flying has exactly ZERO 767 flying so it wouldn’t be a widebody line. Just a lower paying, worse variety, worse seniority NB line.
I’d be 76% on the 75 vs. the 40% I am on the 73. No thank you. |

Exactly. Quickest way to a WB Line.
The majority of 756 leftovers for an out of base are most often LHR to Europe or GRU to S. America and almost always the bunkie spot on a 763. You don’t get wide body pay. Plus doing a bunkie trip to Deep South America facing double 10 hour all nighters is nothing short of brutal. Is it a nice change of pace when you can get a trip to GVA or CDG on the one off? Absolutely! But it’s not enough for me to stick around on the fleet for now while guys 1000-1500 numbers junior to me on the 737 in SFO are laying over in KOA/OGG/LIH/HNL/ITO/SAN/FLL/SJD/CUN while I’m rotting in traffic in mid town Manhattan after another transcon. |

Check out an award, it’s actually SFO 757 flying. No WB flying here.
So, as a new hire, if you want SFO 756, I would only recommend it if you lived local. Other wise, you will be on reserve for a long time as a new hire. |

What did the drop/offer end up being and how young was the 8 ball?

Very little Europe for SFO 756 as in none at all is what you meant right?
Depending on what part of the FOM or contract you look, Hawaii could be considered international. The FA's do. |
Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is a class drop?
