But as IAH mentioned, you only get day off restoration if you are assigned new FLYING, so if you DH home on your day off no restoration. Just late/reassignment add pay. Which is not in the contract explicitly, but is ALPA interpretation.

But was it “new” flying or a delayed flight?

Take a look in content locker and review next steps 11 for a good review of what is/is not a RA. The article then does a pretty good job of running down the applicable contract sections. That said, it’s not all inclusive.

It wa compeletly new flying for me ito a day off .

I called within 24 hours of the completion of the pairing to get either add pay or day off restored . Basically a scam cause any of the days I wanted for this month all have no coverage . Can’t really see how that’s my problem , in the sense that the day was robbed from me .

He explained it can go to next month etc , but like the Wh*re I am I took the add pay .

Shady that it has to go into a day they have coverage in . Favors them way more .. I also realize it’s summer so coverage is nil

I did but luckily they had sent me home by the time it was responded to. I didn’t end up going into a day off although they asked and I said no, since it came in after 1200 and they had no idea when the plane was going to be fixed. Hopefully they have by now.

...so if I had this happen last fall, is it too late to request day off restoration/add pay?

Yup. You have 24 hours from the end of the trip. Pays to read the contract.
