Yes, apps were due in September and they were sent out at the end of September and RSVP to said invites were due by the end of October.

I've been diligently updating my app and checking my email. As far as I can tell, there isn't any chronological order with the invites being sent out. If indeed there is a point system, it is equally in effect for those who attended the job expo and for those that haven't; meaning that our call to interview may be that much longer given the number of recalls, flow-throughs, off the street, and job expo types. Just a thought.

At any point in the application or interview process...do they ask about your number of sick calls? A story was relayed to me about an applicant and I wasnt sure it was believable. Is it disqualifying if you have had more than 4 sick calls in a rolling year period or 8 in a 2 year period?

Sounds like total B.S.

The only question I've heard of pertaining to sick calls is if you called in sick at your current job to make the interview date (which is easily verifiable). Aside from that, anything else is paranoia. Yes, pilots get sick too, sometimes they even have to take a medical leave of absence unexpectedly. Stuff happens. They just wanna make sure they are getting a dependable employee with a good work ethic.

Ever since having kids I don't know how the heck guys rack up 1000 hrs of sick time. I can barely keep 100hrs revolving when our kids preschool seems like the satellite branch of the CDC.

I think the majority of recent invites have been from the job fair, they didn’t do this fair for nothing they clearly placed emphasis on meeting people directly. I think it’s just about being patient...may be a point system for actual attendees in how our one on one went

Maybe they are one of those rare ones who only suffer illness on their off days;-)

That is a CPP thing. A few regionals have preferential interview programs where they fill a certain percentage of every class. Not to discourage the remaining applicants because the percentages that they are pulling from those regionals is lining up with what they were previously hiring.

They might notice if you have less flight time than usual. Most regional guys are flying 600+ hrs a year (on the low side) and if the math doesn't work you might have to explain. If you have been there 4 years they would expect 2400 hrs give or take of 121 time. They may also look at the last few holidays in your logbook. You can get sick on Christmas and they know that but they are looking at the whole picture. A guy grinding 800 hrs a year with 12-14 days off every month has nothing to worry about. I graphed my flight hrs per year in my logbook because I wanted them to notice.
