Default Job Fair prep?

Got the invite. Never been to a job fair/career expo. What is everyone doing for prep. I'm using Cage for everything else (App/resume review and interview prep). Also, I am still curious, would a hogan prep service HURT my chance of doing well on that? I've seen Career Takeoff and Ready Set Takeoff as options? Just trying to be as prepared as possible.

I got the invite a couple months ago, but accidentally deleted the email. Was there an RSVP requirement?

Not sure but I'm hearing more and more that United is not a fan of the interview prep anymore. I believe they actually told the 18' job fair attendees not to do it bc they want the real you. My friend went last year and did not prep with cage or emerald. Only thing they did was have a huge TTMAT question bank ready and knew their callouts cold. He got the job.

Not sure I'd take that route just yet... Anyone else hear anything like this?

Yes.

You had to RSVP and select one of four sessions to attend.

With the September job fair fast approaching, would anyone care to share their experiences or friends experiences from the fair last year as a refresher?

Specifically questions asked in the 1 on 1, statistics of people getting the hogan out of the 600 attendees, any advice for for guys attending this year/lessons learned.

Cheers all !

I haven’t gone and don’t have an invite, but seems like everyone says to have an answer for the why United question.

If this wasn’t so sad it would be comedy gold. Your applying to the majors and you don’t fully read the email, and “accidentally” delete the email and don’t immediately go into trash to un delete it? Attention to detail and following the directions is a graded part of the application processes. The first filter clearly worked.

The point still stands. One really has to get their act together with basic technology skills like not accidentally deleting incredibly important emails from the company they want to work for.
