3 months of 90+ hour lines built to the buffers finally struck...
UA App says “Operational Diffaculties” but the truth is: WE DIDNT HIRE ENOUGH!!!!
No huge storm, just extremely poor planning.

I'm afraid 90 hour lines are not the indicator you need to see. Cancellations would be the real tell, and I'm not sure cancellations are up in July. We'll have to wait for the monthly report.

It’s a super low number of flights cancelled cause of no crew . At least from what scheduling has told me .

That being said . Commute up the night prior to start a 4 day. Airport was crazy with delays , 10 pm. I called to see if they had anything going on that would get me out of my 4 day.

Literally the gate next to me had no FO going to SLC and was gonna cancel within minutes (already 3 hours delayed ). Got that trip at SRM, and bought off my 4 day.

Walked over to the gate left 30 mins later. Didn’t even have time to put on my uniform .

Meanwhile cola’s offered in sept lol

No huge storm? The north east had been getting railed all week.

So are we individual contractors now? Is this how we do?

You should’ve let it go through the process...but you got your sweet premium so it’s all good.

If the trip was in open time with premium (which I don't doubt) then he did go through the process. Nothing says union brotherhood like attacking each other.

Premium pay trips are for straight pickup. They do not get 4 days dropped with pay protection. That only happens in SRM situations.
