Default Working to Paris - taking a family member

I tried a search and nothing came up.

I'm working a flight to CDG tonight and was hoping to take a family member with me. I know we get picked up plane side and clear customs at another terminal and obviously the family member cannot go with me. Does anyone know if the van driver would be willing to go back over to our terminal and pick someone up, assuming the rest of the crew doesn't mind the delay? If that's not possible, should/could I just clear customs as a regular pax and we can find our own way to the hotel?

I've only done CDG 3 other times and no one has ever brought anyone along. Thanks in advance for your answers.

I did it a year ago and back then it seemed like they were against picking people up. I asked one of the French speakers to chat up the driver and ask him for me and he agreed. Not sure how it is now but if I did it again I wouldn't plan on it working out but would be pleasantly surprised if it did.

Hopefully things have changed. Research the train/subway as a backup. Good luck.

Try to make friends with a speaker and see if they can help out with the driver. The French can be real pricks if you don't speak the language.

I took my wife in July and the crew basically told the driver that myself and my wife were going to clear customs and immigrations together and we would be outside the normal drop off spot. Driver was fine with it. Some supposedly are not.

We breezed through the arrival formalities and ended up waiting for 45 minutes for the crew to get through all the hoops. In hind sight I probably would have just paid the cost of the Uber going into town.

On the way back to the airport it was no problem as she rode with us. I did buy her a confirmed seat home in Polaris as loads looked terrible so I wasn’t concerned about the amount of time she’d have at the airport arriving with us. So doing non rev might be tight on time depending on how CDG handles their business with pass travelers.

Have a good time!
