I think there was some room here to make light that there are tons of "straight" folks that attend and support NGPA just as there are many fair skinned people that attend OBAP and men that attend WAI. Pilots will do what is required to get noticed and hired.
Just like the threads that get locked for political stuff...if this one derails in a direction of the goodness/badness of NGPA or its membership...it should get locked as well.

I’m not personally offended. However-, as a union member I’m sure you wouldn’t Intentionally insult your brothers and sisters. Especially those in a marginalized demographic. Right?

I don’t think gay jokes are appropriate. Socsity as a whole, and our company, our association all agree that this is not a thing that is helpful to say.

I’m far from a bleeding heart, so for the 50% that want to hide behind “PC police” / “identitiy politics” routine, my voting interests are aligned with yours (sometimes). But I feel obligated to say that I too find it odd that a bunch of grown men who want to be treated like professionals, make unclever jokes about what some people want to do behind closed doors.
