I think they look fine; no more ridiculous than pilot uniforms look in general. The tie is a little purple-ish for my taste, but at least there’s less tacky gold trim. The hat looks ridiculous because, well, it’s a pilot hat and they all look ridiculous. The FA uniforms are a bit harder for me to like, but I do like how they have different sci-fi genres to choose from: old school Star Trek, Star Trek TNG, or Star Wars. To those of you saying you won’t wear them: fine. I too reject all change initially. But after a moments thought it seems to be all the same, a funny costume that I have to wear to work and nothing I think or say about it will make a difference in the long run.

I do think it’d be funny if they made us wear uniform hats, but we as individuals got to choose the style: cowboy, derby, top, baseball, newsboy etc. I’d go with a fedora because it’s the one time wearing a fedora wouldn’t increase my overall style douche-level😂😂

 

I’m guessing that ALPA is going to sell out their stock of ties quickly. Purple tie, silly looking outdated hat, and a members only jacket. To quote Slim Pickens, “Well I am depressed”.

 

 

Most United pilots haven’t worn the hat for years. This one won’t be any different.

Not my choice of the color tie but otherwise it's fine. It'll be funny seeing the old crusties wearing purple though.

 

Seems pretty reasonable overall. Wouldn’t mind seeing the tie in person before having a strong opinion. Actually like the current one but obviously there’s a new set of colors to stick with. Silver is the new gold. Wondering if the a/c schemes change too.

 

It’s really the FA and CS uniforms that are truly absurd. Pilot uniform, overall, isn’t bad.

 

Brooks Brothers quality should look great. They’ve got plenty of time to work the colors.
